The Chevrolet Suburban Car Article

GM started making the Suburban in 1935. It was one of the all-metal bodied station wagons. The first generation started in 1935 and lasted till 1940. The Chevy Suburban has had eleven generations. The long history of the Suburban proves Americans love the way that they haul, travel and sell. So therefore the Suburban is a good vehicle for your needs.

I would recommend the 2001 to 2014 body style because of the space, the value, the motor options such as the 5.3 or 6.0 liter vortec v8 engine and the 4WD trims. The most expensive trim for a Chevrolet Suburban 1500 is the LTZ trim and it costs $20,000 to $40,000.

The Chevrolet Suburban 1500 has safety features such as:

  • Antilock brakes
  • Stability control
  • Front and rear impact airbags
  • Pretensioners for extra seat belt support
  • Security system

The Chevrolet Suburban has 14 city mpg and 19 mpg hwy  and that combines to make 16mpg. Many people wonder if there are differences between the Tahoe and the Suburban. I researched this question and learned that the Suburban is longer than the Tahoe and it has a larger gas tank than the Tahoe. The Suburban has more leg room and head room than the Tahoe.

Pros of the Suburban 1500:

  • Lots of room
  • More luxury options available, such as
    • chrome wheels
    • heated seats
    • memory seating
    • DVD
    • chrome exhaust tips
  • Many exterior colors including
    • Black
    • Champagne Silver Metallic
    • Concord Metallic
    • Crystal Red Tintcoat
    • Mocha Steel Metallic
    • Silver Ice Metallic
    • Summit White
  • Interior colors
    • Ebony
    • Light Cashmere
  • Affordable
  • Lots of cargo space
  • Different trim levels
  • Easy to get out off

Cons:

  •  Low gas mileage
  • Hard to park
  • Fuel pump problems

Chevrolet Tahoe

If you’re in the market for a Chevrolet Tahoe, this is a good dependable vehicle. It has all of your features for you and your family’s needs. Like 4WD for the winter and 3rd row seating for more storage and more room for passengers. With the Tahoe, you get an option: either bench seating or bucket seats with armrests in the middle row. With the 3rd row option you can remove or fold down the third row or leave it in the Tahoe depending on what you’re hauling. And if you’re getting a base model Chevrolet Tahoe, they have an option to get a 5.3 liter vortec v8 engine that has 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque. I recommend the 5.3 engine more than the 6.2 v8 engine because the 5.3 is more convenient for gas mileage. For the flex fuel option you can put it in a lower gear to save the brakes and improve the gas mileage. The 6.2 vortec engine is worst on fuel economy. The fuel economy for the Chevrolet Tahoe is 19 combined city and highway mpg. The 2018 model 2WD Tahoe has 16 mpg city and 23 mpg highway.

The Chevrolet Tahoe has many great safety options and safety features, such as rear vision camera as a standard safety feature. And limited slip rear differential is another standard safety feature. And yes, air bags are a very important safety feature for any vehicle. You should always have daytime running lights for any vehicle for sure, and the Tahoe does. And yes, OnStar is a very important safety feature for any Chevrolet vehicle. The Chevrolet Tahoe has a 5-star overall frontal crash rating and a 5-star overall side crash rating. A Chevrolet Tahoe has other very impressive safety features such as:

  • Stabilitrak electronic stability control system
  • Rear park assist
  • Airbags
  • Onstar chevrolet connect services capability
  • Keyless open
  • Keyless start
  • Front and rear park assist

With the Chevrolet Tahoe you have 2 luxury trim models available at a higher price range, and they are Z71 and LTZ. Some luxury trims include:

  • Chrome exhaust tip
  • Third row seats ,50/50 split bench
  • 2nd row heated seats
  • 17 in. chrome alloy wheels

I prefer the 2nd generation of a Tahoe, which is the 2007-2012 models. The 2nd generation Chevrolet Tahoe exterior colors are beige, Bermuda Blue Metallic, black, Dark Blue Metallic, Gold Mist Metallic, gray, silver, red, Summit White. The interior colors for the 2nd generation Chevrolet Tahoes are gray, black, beige. I think that you would like a  Chevrolet Tahoe for all your traveling needs because of the room and torque, and because of the specific trims and options such as 3rd row seating and 4WD. The Chevrolet Tahoe is really a good vehicle for somebody that”s wanting room and power. With the Chevrolet Tahoe it does have the option for 2nd row split bench seating or with 2nd row bucket seats. But I recommend the bench because its more feasible to have that option. With the Chevrolet Tahoe you have the option to have a 4 speed automatic transmission or the 6 speed automatic transmission. But I recommend the 4 speed automatic transmission because it’s with the 2001 and 2004 body style of the Chevrolet Tahoe. I think you would like to buy a Chevrolet Tahoe for a good traveling vehicle because of the room and the power.

Introducing the Nissan Armada SUV

I recommend the Nissan Armada because it is a very unique sport utility vehicle. If you are in the market for a good sport utility vehicle I would strongly suggest the Nissan Armada. They are very good, dependable vehicles for hauling and traveling. I would strongly suggest purchasing the year range between 2004 and 2014 because Nissan changed the body style of the Armada in the year of 2015. The 2015 body style was a lot rounder and less attractive in my opinion. The colors for the Nissan Armada are blue, black, gold, red, silver, teal, brown, gray, and chrome. The production of the Nissan Armada sport utility vehicle was from 2003 and continues to present.

I would consider independent suspension instead of air ride suspension for all of the Nissan Armada models because it is more dependable. The reason I don’t recommend air ride suspension is because it can cause problems in the rear of the vehicle and it is very expensive to repair. I always recommend 4WD or AWD vehicles to my readers and customers because of the weather in winter, and because it’s really more dependable for all your traveling needs. I strongly recommend the leather interior option because it’s easier to clean messes or spills.

I really recommend the Nissan Armada for a family that loves to explore places. The Nissan Armada has seating capacity for 3rd row, so it is good for families. Nissan armadas come in different trim levels that have different features. So, what Nissan Armada trims have the entertainment package? The 2013 model year added Bluetooth and satellite radio standard on all models. If you are in the market in a sport utility vehicle with entertainment such as a DVD system, I would recommend the SV Trim, SL Trim, Titanium Trim, and Platinum Trim.

There is a full size luxury version for this type of vehicle and it’s an Infiniti, QX80. The fuel economy for a Nissan Armada is 14mpg. The Nissan Armada has 305 horsepower. The safety of the Nissan Armada is very good considering the front impact test scored 4 out of 5 and the front passenger injury is rated 5 out of 5. These are some of the safety features for the Nissan Armada: antilock braking system, front and rear air bags, power steering, front and rear brakes. I REALLY hope you will like my thoughts about the article about a Nissan Armada.

 PROS

  • 3rd row seating
  • Lot of room
  • Have a lot of different trims and colors
  • Have a lot of different features
  • Leather seats with arm rests on the side
  • DVD player
  • Captain seats

CONS

  • Air ride suspension
  • Change of body style in 2015
  • Relatively low mpg
